Restitution Recovery Unit
This unit was established in 1995 to assist the Circuit Clerk’s Office and the State Probation Officers in recovering past due court costs and court ordered restitution for victims.
When a case is turned over to RRU for collection, the defendant enters into a Restitution Recovery Agreement to establish a payment plan. If restitution is not paid as ordered by the court, the RRU can seek sanctions, including jail time, against the offender.
